After breakfast, you will walk out of the restaurant doors right onto the dock, where your captain invites you on board and provides everything you need for the day, from tackle and bait to a tasty lunch. As you sail out to the Bay, you may pass by some pieces of Tilghman Island history: the Sharp’s Island Lighthouse, Black Walnut Point, or perhaps Knapp’s Bridge, which connects Tilghman Island to the rest of the world. As you sail to your first fishing spot, you’ll likely see many of the more than ten bird species that inhabit our corner of the Bay, including osprey, seagulls, eagles, cormorants and gannets. Passing by the boats of professional watermen, you might get a smile and a question like, “How are the fish running today?” Your captain knows the best locations for the type of game fish you’re seeking, and will take you throughout the Bay to help you catch your limit. After a full eight hours on the Chesapeake Bay, you’ll want to relax, perhaps with a dip in the pool, a nap in your room at Harrison House, or a relaxing drink at the Skipjack Café or Legends Waterfront Sports Bar.
